Ashley R. Ferguson, MHA

 

Ashley Ferguson is a consultant with Healthcare MCR and encompasses a diverse background. A University of Scranton Masters of Health Administration 2009 Upsilon Phi Delta National Honor Society graduate, Ashley specializes in project management, managed care contracting and implementation, revenue cycle operations and analysis, and practice management. 

Ashley has hands on experience with government and commercial payers, strategic marketing initiatives, public relations and planning events, social media resources, hospital operations and academic research planning.

Hospital

Hoboken University Medical Center, Hoboken NJ- Acute Care Hospital aquisition due diligence and implementation. Performed revenue cycle operations assesment and strategic planning. Responsibility for identifying oportunities for revenue fullfillment and operational efficiencies. Integral to transitioning and managing a third party billing relationship.

Somerset Medical Center, Somerville NJ- Managed Care Analyst I responsible for identifying incorrect contractual payments and recovering lost reimbursement. Heavily focused on tracking inpatient and outpatient reimbursement methodologies as well as government payments. Additional responsibilities included McKesson Pathways Contract Management System reporting.

Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston NJ- Administrative Resident researching various levels of an integrated health system from daily operations to corporate development. Academic thesis focused on the optimal level of management collaborating with all aspects of hospital operations.

Physician Practice

Dr. Michael P. Vandenberg, DMD Sparta, NJ- business associate, dental assistant, and practice consultant. Opened and established a private practice with an implant dentist in 2005. Main responsbilities included: managed care contract negotiation and establishment, patient scheduling, financial analysis, conflict management, and overall practice operations.
